"De meeste vrienden die we hadden willen niets meer van ons weten, en de rest is ons vergeten." ('We gaan nog niet naar huis')
The songs were written somewhere between debut 'Nachtschade' and 'Wat een cirkel is', both in sound and thematic. Glasscherven ("shards of glass") is the title, but also the common thread in these songs; they belong together.
The lyrics are characteristically melancholy but comforting. In between songs we hear dead poets and ocean sounds. Marina Tadic (Kidbug (new EP coming up!) / Eerie Wanda) elevated the songs with her vocals, and sings & dances in the wonderful video for 'Blauwe Bessen': bit.ly/the_avonden-blauwe_bessen
